In what was described as one of the worst cases of fraud Trading Standards had ever seen on August 31 2010 at the Old Bailey in London a former locksmith called Mark Makowski was sentenced to four years for charging customers grossly excessive amounts. He charged one customer £1160 for replacing two locks that had to be replaced a few days later at a cost of only £154. The majority of Locksmiths up and down the country are doing a great job for their customers however they are some Locksmiths who way overcharge for the work being carried out. |
